The Department is primarily a centre for the treatment of diabetic patients, but also houses teaching facilities for for medical students of the School of Medicine of Zagreb University, scientists and health care professionals. The mission of the Department is to improve the health of diabetics by setting the comprehensive standard of excellence in medical education, research and clinical care.
